A rather simple story. There was a dragon, not too friendly. Used to terrorize folks and breathe fire. That story was scorching hot. And now? Well, it is still hot. Because there’s Gorący Precel, much more friendly. Good for us. We decided to tame fire and close it in an oven. We still have some gripping stories to tell, though – about extraordinary combinations of flavors enclosed in the well-known classical pretzels.
You can be there on time (recommended) or you can run late. There’s no place like the Cracow Station to experience this. Nobody likes it when things get too prolooonged. That’s why we advise those who try to get to the other end of Piotrkowska Str., one of Europe’s longest streets of commerce (sic!), to stop at Gorący Precel in order to charge their batteries for the long journey – quick and yummy. The only thing that’s long here is pleasure.
It takes a lot of bending to make a good pretzel. We know it all too well, because we are bent on making them right. Proofs?
Our name is an obligation. The making of our snacks goes on all day.
That’s why they’re so fresh. No matter the hour, there’s a fresh pretzel to devour. What’s inside? Sweet, savory, or pretzeldogs – the sky is the limit. All this with the best quality ingredients: 82% butter, whole fruit, cereals, yeast, and certified Polish flours. What you won’t find here are artificial colorants, margarine, palm oil and preservatives. In short – there’s all that’s best.
The effect? They’re so good they’ll make your cheeks flush.
The result? So good that you might blush.
Where did pretzels come from? We have to admit – it’s a bit of a tangled story. Once there was a goofy baker who was so eager to work that he fell asleep, forgetting he’d put stuff in the oven (who has never dozed off at work?) After a short nap he felt he’d repeat the whole process. When he realized his mistake, he discovered a new baked pastry. Pretzels! A little burnt at first, after a little refinement they came out as a great snack. What’s the moral? Every genius needs to rest sometimes. There’s also a story with a monk, which explains the shape of our pretzels. He decided to use leftover bread dough to make a snack for praying children. He drew inspiration from hands folded for a prayer. And that’s all, folks!
But all this is history now. We are writing a new one. But we don’t close our eyes on anything and don’t leave our pretzels to chance – nothing random here. We carefully select best quality fresh products, avoiding artifice and anything that’s bad for you (advisable in relationships, too). All this, to give you a snack that won’t hurt your conscience. And after hours – we pay tribute to the goofy baker and his pretzels. We top a good day off with a proper nap.

The pretzel recipe – we know it by heart! We have to admit – at first we stir things up a little: flour, water, yeast, and salt. Then we weave them – together with stories and anecdotes told at the countertop. After rolling in the aisles it’s time to roll some dough. Oh, don’t we love it! After that we let them breathe in a baking soda solution to give them more color and crispness. Then: sprinkle with some salt, sesame or poppy. Are they good? OH YES. Finally, things become really heated – that’s when they go in the oven.
Our pretzels are perfect as a quick grab on the go. But we do understand if sometimes you just don’t feel like going out. In this situation – we roll out dough and make some pretzels for you, and our delivery guys roll out to drop them off right at your door.
